Yummyliciously made easy and quick Mutton Yakhni Pulao Recipe that you can try on lazy days

Pulao is my food to rely on, when i don't want to spend a lot of time on cooking but still want to have something delicious then pulao comes handy😉


About Pulao:


Yakhni pulao or pilao is an evergreen mutton and rice dish with flavorful spices. The smell of Basmati with mutton and spices teams up to make this dish my all-time go-to food. It looks simple in color but the flavor is what steals the show. You must give it a try 😍



Ingredients:

  1. Mutton

  2. Curd

  3. Cumin seeds

  4. Coriander leaves

  5. Mint leaves

  6. Onion

  7. Garam masala powder

  8. Bay leaves

  9. Green chilly and ginger garlic paste

  10. Tomato

  11. Turmeric powder

  12. Red chilly powder

  13. Salt

  14. Oil

  15. Coriander powder

Boiling the Mutton :


  1. In a pressure cooker, add mutton pieces, sliced onions, turmeric, and salt, and allow it to take 7 whistles

  2. After & whistles, off the stove and keep the cooker aside

Cooking Process:


  1. In a pot add oil, sliced onions, and sautĂŠ till golden brown

  2. Now add ginger garlic and green chilly paste and sautĂŠ for 5 minutes

  3. Now add chopped coriander and mint leaves, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, garam masala powder, salt, curd, coriander powder, bay leaves, and sautĂŠ for 5 minutes

  4. When the oil starts separating from the mixture, add the boiled mutton into it and again sautĂŠ for 5 minutes

  5. Now add washed basmati rice and some water

  6. Let the water boil till it evaporates

  7. Once the water is evaporated and the rice seems cooked, close the lid and let it cook on low flame for about 20 minutes.

  8. Serve hot with Raita (salad) or curd 😋
